More snow = more accessories!

The hat and cowl in my Hudson Bay Set feature lace swirls set in a background of 1x1 rib. The lace motif creates undulating ribs that are distinct and geometric - but the little leaves manage to keep things a little feminine.

Plus, the motif is absolutely reversible, so there is no wrong side of the cowl, regardless of how you wrap it around your neck. I like it worn long inside, wrapped once around when I go out.

Jill Draper’s Hudson is a gorgeous, wearable yarn - a great, 4-ply 100% merino with a little boing to it, completely sourced and made in the USA. And her beautifully saturated shades really showcase this design.

The combo of the Hudson and motif is a little addictive, I warn you. I have two cowls and a hat already - with a fingering weight shawl in the works (coming later on this spring). It’s easy to modify these for depth or width and instructions are given in the pattern, so you can knit them in all kinds of sizes, too.

This weekend, you can find Jill in her booth at Stitches West, with tons of Hudson on hand. When she returns from the West Coast, she will be re-stocking things back up in her Etsy shop, and in the meantime, there are more than a few brick and mortar shops that stock Hudson - including Loop London, Fibrespace, Tolt, and Happy Knits.
