As a proud Canadian, I have a special fondness for the iconic white blankets with stripes of green, red, yellow and indigo. They have been around since the late 1700’s and can still be purchased at selected Hudson’s Bay Company Stores. Here is my version of a worsted weight, stocking and seed stitch, baby-sized Bay blanket.

It is not crucial to have the same gauge, but if you do knit with a different yarn, it will change the yardage and size.

Three skeins Red Heart Soft in White were used and less than half a skein for each stripe colour of Vanna’s Choice Solids.
