I love the iconic Hudson’s Bay Blanket but the colours don’t work in my home so I chose classic blues/white and tan.

It is simple enough to choose colours that will suit your decor or maybe a gift for someone special?

With just a little bit of an accent of Mosaic stitches this blanket is truly super simple and relaxing to knit.

The pattern is written in a format to take even a beginner knitter through every row right to the end and is a great way to get the basics of slipping stitches for Mosaic knitting.

You will wonder why you thought the technique was so hard.

Beginners will definitely find it well written and easy to follow. Rhc4

And to minimize the number of tails to weave in yarn (A) is carried up the sides throughout all of the colour changes in the pattern. The instructions also tell you when to cut a colour and when to carry it instead.
There is a video link in the pattern showing how to carry yarn up the side.

The amounts of yarn used are based on my sample for the design but will depend on the yarn you choose, variations in yarn thickness of each colour, your personal gauge/tension and any changes made. You may want to purchase an extra ball of colour (A) so as not to run short.
