Hugs and Kisses Shrug

Remember how you used to sign the notes you passed in class to that “special guy” with X’s and O’s … and now you use them for the notes you write to your children?

That’s how this shrug got it’s name . . it is made with a LOT of love for my great niece made of X-stitches, chains and single crochets. Double crochets are used for the button holes and 7 dc shells are used for ornamentation for the “wrists.”

This pattern was made for a 14 month old. I used less that a half skein of Vanna’s Choice Tangerine Mist yarn.

I found the sweet buttons on eBay. I wanted something that looked “fall-ish” and falling leaves were just perfect.

SUPER Easy … there is a chart attached for generic measurements for the back and arm lengths of newborns to adults. But, if you have your recipient handy, it will be even easier to just measure your beginning chain from her wrist to wrist, across her back.
