We love to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness day, which is on March 21st (03-21). This day is chosen as Down Syndrome is also known as Trisomy 21, which is the triplication of the twenty-first chromosome, which causes genetic exceptionalities.

To celebrate we have made a pattern for really fun socks, or rather 1 really fun sock! On this day, people celebrate by Rocking their Socks! It can be two of the same really fun socks, but two different socks is way more fun and wild!

So this pattern works well. For the second sock, you can choose a different colour, or reverse the heel and main colour, or both!

Have fun, with Hugs and Squishes from us to you. :)

Yarn used here: Three Irish Girls Yarn: Springvale Worsted.

You can use any worsted weight yarn of about 200 yards, heel in contrasting colour is optional, but we like it.

Needle size: US 6 (4mm) small feet, US7 & for larger feet.

Blocked Gauge: 17-19sts in 4inch (10cm) in stockinette. Note this pattern has a ton of stretch so in pattern gauge will be less.

Fit: This pattern makes a very stretchy sock that will fit size 5 to 9 US woman.
