Embrace your inner Stargirl with the Hullygully hat. It is worked in the round from the bottom up with basic cabling. Bulky weight yarn make the hat work up in a weekend, easily. Embellish away with all the tassels, pompoms, and sparkle that your heart desires!

Sizes: To fit a small child (large child/average adult, large adult) head; about 19” (21”, 22”)/48.5 (53.5, 56) cm in circumference.

Yarn: 75 - 140 yards/70 - 130 meters of bulky weight yarn. Sample shown in Malabrigo Chunky colorway 35 - Frank Ochre.

Needles: Size US 11/8 mm circular needles or double-point needles, for preferred working-in-the-round method, plus 1 spare needle of the same size, or size needed to obtain gauge plus 1 spare.

Gauge: 12 - 13 sts x 18 - 20 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch.

Notions: 1 cable needle, 1 size US K/6.5 mm crochet hook, pompom maker (optional), a tapestry needle, and a large balloon (optional, for blocking).

Techniques: Cabling, knitting in the round, following a chart, 3-needle bind off, and basic crochet chaining.
