Humlebi means bumble bee in Danish and the shawl was inspired by the bees waking up after a long winter to seek the first flowers of spring.

The Humlebi shawl is a triangular textured shawl with little bees, flowers and a field of garter stitch. It’s worked bottom up in sections with written and charted instructions. You begin with a picot cast on, then shape the shawl with decreases along the center and the outer edges and at the end you graft a few stitches.

The pattern is also part of a fun bee themed collaboration between yarn dyer Jule from Woolentwine Fibrestudio and bag maker Eva from The Blue Rabbit House. Kits consisting of bag, yarn and pattern can be purchased here: https://www.thebluerabbithouse.com/product-page/bonnie-hu...
