The Hutt Valley Hat uses a combination of stripes and a simple cabled stitch which makes it look far more complicated than it is. Each row uses just one single colour to knit. The pattern includes 2 crown options to choose from.

The pattern includes a chart, as well as written instructions. Instructions are also included for working the cable both with, and without a cable needle.

Extremely economical on yarn, this is a great project to use up remnant or leftover yarn. 2 skeins of Cascade 220 were enough to complete a woman’s hat, a woman’s pair of mitts and a child’s pair of mitts, with yarn leftover!

Sized from Toddler to Man, this is a great pattern for all the family, and can be made in any combination of colours to suit.

A matching fingerless mitten pattern is also available, and can be purchased separately or via the ebook.

The Hutt Valley hat is named for the area in which I live in, the Vs on the hat remind me of the Valleys I overlook from my house.
