I believe in, advocate for, support and love, someone with Autism. - AutismCanada.org

In fact, in my household it’s a couple someones. Both of my boys are diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum. When that happens, there isn’t one area of your life left untouched and unchanged. You are always tired and sore. Consistently challenged every hour of each day. Stressed beyond the point of breaking. Yourself and your loved one are constantly judged. Trapped.

… but then? There’s a hidden smile. A brief but deliberate eye contact. A scrawled name. “I love you”, awkwardly performed in sign language or pointed to on a picture board…. and you know a reward like no other.

I Believe, was inspired, conceived, edited, tested all in under a months time. So many have reached out and expressed their gratitude already and have helped to bring this “awareness shawl” into being. Pick colours that speak to you and your cause. It need not be Autism that has touched your life. I’ve included a list of causes and their associated colours. Because, we all need something to hope for. We all need to believe.
