Inspired by Lorelai Gilmore’s obsession with snow, the I Smell Snow cloth will make any Gilmore Girls fan smile. The entire cloth is knit in the main color and the words are grafted on in duplicate stitch in
the contrast color. (If you are a more experienced knitter, you can use intarsia techniques for the words.) The center snowflake is knit in the main color using purl bumps to create the motif and you can hold a metallic thread along with your main yarn to give the entire cloth a sparkle of freshly fallen snow. The metallic thread also provides a roughness to the cloth that is perfect for washing dishes or exfoliating skin. It’s a cloth that Lorelai herself would be happy to use in her vintage
kitchen!
