Yarn: Kettle Yarn Co. Baskerville (light 4ply/fingering
weight; Exmoor Bluefaced, British Gotland, Silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g skein)
Shade A: Eventide; 2 skeins
Shade B: Dawn; 1 skein

Gauge: 20 sts & 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch
after blocking

Needles: 3.75 mm / US 5 knitting needles
Always use a needle that will result in the correct gauge
after blocking.

Notions: Smooth scrap yarn in similar weight for
provisional cast-on and 3.75 mm (US F/5) crochet hook

Notes: Slip all stitches purlwise with yarn held at back
(WS) of work unless otherwise instructed. This is written
as ‘sl 1 pwise wyib’ for RS rows and ‘sl 1 pwise wyif ’ for
WS rows. The first and last 3 sts of every row are knit for
a garter stitch selvedge – use stitch markers as a reminder
if required. One stitch has been added to the wrap to
make the pattern symmetrical with the ‘extra’ stitch
worked as follows:
RS rows: K3 (garter selvedge), repeat Chart six times, k1
(the added st), k3 (garter selvedge).
WS rows: K3 (garter selvedge), p1, repeat Chart six times,
k3 (garter selvedge)
