Ever since I spent a month traveling around Estonia in 2006, I have been in love with the rich historic knitting techniques of that country. Estonian knitters were—and are—creative, inventive, and able to think outside the box in so many ways. The technique of Roosimine, used in making Roositud gloves and socks, is a clever way to introduce many colors into a garment without stranding. I continue to be amazed and inspired by the wealth of knowledge Estonian knitters possess.
