The Roaring 20’s was loaded with fascinating and stylish clothing, head gear, gloves, etc. I personally love the simple, yet elegant lines that so many of the styles had. This cloche is based on those seen in the later 1920’s. Not only does it allow my to indulge my love for that era, but more importantly, helps to diminish that ever-growing leftover yarn stash.

Skill Level: Beginner

Yarn Description: Any 2 colors of 4-ply worsted weight yarn

Hook Size: L(11)/8mm (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Other Materials Needed:
• Large blunt or bend tip tapestry needle
• Ribbon or other embellishment
• Sewing needle and matching thread

Gauge: 8sts x 6rows (dc) = 4” (10cm)

Note: Read ALL these instructions thoroughly BEFORE starting to crochet. This pattern is worked holding 2 strands of yarn together throughout; and incorporates single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch crochet stitches; changing colors and usage of the “magic ring” method of starting a circle.

For smaller or larger sizes: use smaller hook size to decrease; use larger hook size to increase.
