Construction Notes
This hat is knit in the round, from the bottom up. Begin with the straps, knitting them back and forth in garter stitch simultaneously. Increase for the ear flaps. Cast on stitches between the two straps to create the brim of the hat. Continue the border in garter stitch. Switching colors, work the main body of the hat in a Knit 4 Purl 2 pattern for a specified length. After decreasing rejoin the complementary color and knit an I-Cord tassel. Complete the hat with some knotted fringe.
