Inspired by Boudica, Queen of the Iceni tribe, who led the Celtic people to revolt against the Roman occupation of Britain in the 1st Century.

The mitts are started by knitting the cuff, then picking up sts along the length of the cuff to knit the remainder of the mitts in the round.

You will need a cable needle and stitch holder, 3.25mm DPNs, 4mm DPNs and straight 4mm needles.

One skein (209m) of Lavenham Blue yarn will knit either size - alternatively the mitts can be knitted in any yarn that knits to standard DK gauge.
