A cute slouchy hat that knits up quickly in a bulky yarn. Featuring just enough lace detailing to keep things interesting, without requiring too much attention.

The hat begins at the top with a simple I-cord and is then joined in the round, increasing with columns of spiralling yarn overs. All of the shaping is worked at the centre back, perfectly gathering the extra slouchy fabric.

Materials

Approximately 100yds / 90m chunky / bulky yarn. Shown in Misti Alpaca Chunky (100% alpaca, 108yds / 99m, 3.53oz / 100g) in Lipstick
Note: This amount does not allow for swatching. On a small item like this I prefer to check gauge after working a few inches. If you wish to make a separate swatch this will require more yarn.
