Palouse Yarn Company dyed this exclusive “Idler’s Rest” colorway for Paradise Fibers, inspired by the Idler’s Rest Nature Preserve on the Palouse.

Knit this cloche style hat (and matching fingerless wristlets) in an easy slip stitch pattern – a restful design for post-holiday knitting!

Hat size adult S/M-L. Set uses one skein of fingering weight yarn (475 yards with a bit left over)

Errata: I apologize! The sizing and crown shaping for the larger size was incorrect. An updated version (1/20/15) has been uploaded.

The sizes should be Adult S/M-L, with the correct # of stitches to cast on for the M-L size 116. The correct crown shaping reads:

Decrease Round: (K 24 sts, k2tog) 4 times/(K17, k2tog) 4 times, (k18, k2tog) 2x (100/110 sts)
Work 1 round even in pattern.
Shape Crown:
Round 1: Work 8, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (90/99 sts)
Round 2 and all even rounds: Work even in pattern (or k all stitches if you have switched to stockinette)
Round 3: Work 7, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (80/88 sts)
Round 5: Work 6, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (70/77 sts)
Round 7: Work 5, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (60/66 sts)
Round 9: Work 4, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (50/55 sts)
Round 11: Work 3, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (40/44 sts)
Round 13: Work 2, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (30/33 sts)
Round 15: Work 1, k2tog. Repeat from to end of round. (20/22 sts)
Round 17: K2tog. Repeat from to end of round (10/11 sts)
