Enjoy my new Idris shawl pattern as a free download through October 19th~ Do me a favor and add the pattern to your faves, I would very much appreciate it.

Want to knit yours with one of the convenient knit kit like I used here which also includes the mini skein of Bulky Chenille, then find them in 29 color combinations and you get to save right now, the kits are less then $20 HERE.

The Idris shawl is a new edition to the Idris Collection, which features a comfy sweater, a cozy poncho and a cute hat. I am loving the stitch pattern and the yarn so much that I keep creating more projects with it.

The shawl is an easy knit, it keeps on growing with a fan like pattern from the neckline down to the very edge which gets a lovely and pronounced treatment, a bulky chenille and the base yarn get held together to create a loose bind off. Hint, if you knit tight go up a needle size or even two….

The pattern is fully written and has a how to video link for the cast on method I used. The shawl as shown here measures 69” along the bottom edge and 22” in height. You can easily make your shawl longer and also wider by continuing in established stitch pattern for another block or two.

Yarn
C1- Easy care DK yarn cakes. A wonderfully soft washable acrylic yarn. 2 cakes used, 272 yards/100 grams each for size shown. You can purchase extra yarn cakes, if you want more length and width.
C2 - A mini skein of 20 yards in a bulky weight lush Chenille yarn for the bottom bind off edge. For size as shown.
