A smart child cardigan that is worked from side to side and requires minimal seaming. A double thick collar for extra warmth. Pattern includes detailed instructions and photos for how to knit in patch pockets and perfectly finished buttonholes!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
Sizes: 2 (4, 6, 8, 10, 12)
Finished Chest Measurements: 25 (27, 28.5, 30, 32, 34) inches
Finished Length: 11.5 (13.5, 14.5, 16.5, 18.5, 20) inches.
Materials: 400 (510, 582, 686, 800, 916) yards worsted weight yarn
Needles: Size US 7 and 8 24-inch circular (larger sizes may use longer length circular) and dpns or size to obtain gauge.
Other Materials: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, crochet hook, 7 (7, 8, 8, 8, 8) 7/8” buttons, and tape measure.
Gauge: 20 stiches/24 rows = 4 inches, stockinette stitch using larger needles.
