This design looks more complicated than many of our other samples. It is no more difficult to knit. It was originally intended as a laptop cover. You could make it rectangular, like the one shown, or you could omit the sides of the chart to make it square, making it suitable for a washcloth or afghan block.

The rectangle in the photos was made in DK yarn and used about 100 metres (110 yards) in each of the two colours. Extra is needed for the borders. Using DK yarn and a tension of 5 stitches to the inch it measures approximately 40 cm (16”) by 30 cm (12”).
