This pattern is for a lovely afghan measuring approximately 38” x 58”, but pattern is easily modified for a larger size. Pull this thick and cozy throw over your lap on a chilly evening while you sip a steaming mug of tea, or display it on a sofa or chair. This inspirational reminder also features a modified granny border and would make a great addition to your decor.

This pattern is written in American crochet terms.

For this project, you should be familiar with crochet terms and abbreviations and be able to chain (ch), half-double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc) and work frequent, multiple color changes (explained in pattern). Project requires a size J/10 (6.00MM) crochet hook and approximately 1250 yards of worsted weight yarn for the background, and 400 for the word and border

This pattern includes directions to begin the afghan, which is worked almost entirely in hdc (border is dc) and a chart for the color changes as well as instructions for the border.
