Errata - there is a missing slipped stitch at stitch 4 on Row 17 and the same one on Row 23 (stitch 4). Apologies for that - I will send out an updated chart asap.

Also, if you add the extra rows for the variation on page 4, then as you work the crown, you just knit on the extra round (no decreases).



Yarn usage will vary according to the version you make, but you can make the one with the extra MC rows with as little as 50m of CC and 100m of MC - for other versions allow a little more yardage.

Looks like fairisle/stranded knitting, but is all made with slipped stitches, which means you’re only working with one yarn at a time.

The colours come from the variegated yarn - giving a more complex effect.

It really feels like a game to be able to make something that looks complex, so simply.

Uses a no-sew version of the 2-colour rib cuff (if you’ve never tried this technique I highly recommend it - a tiny bit fiddly on the joining row, but much less so than sewing and you get a much nicer finish).
