I’ve called these socks “Impressive Socks” because not only do I hope that you’ll be impressed with your sock-making skills when you’ve finished them, but others will say, “Did you really make them? They’re impressive!” and only we will know that they’re not as hard as they look. Your secret is safe with me!

Impressive Socks are perfect for those times when you need a simple pattern with just a bit more interest than a plain sock, and the twisted stitches provide just that. Ideal for adventurous beginners, the Impressive Socks are constructed as cuff down socks with a heel flap and gusset.  The heel is knitted in heel stitch which creates a durable, cushioned heel.

The yarn pictured is West Yorkshire Spinner Signature 4ply in Blackcurrant Bomb.
