Pattern notes
Crescent-shaped Shawl is worked outward from top centre edge; turn work after each row. It consists of 8 equal segments, two sets of 4 segments which mirror each other, on each side of a central spine.
Schematic and charts given provide further visual information.
Mark spine with a sm in a different colour to those used to mark
segments. See patt for whether turning chs count as st.
Lace section is worked using double stranded yarn (two strands of yarn held together; crochet with both).
Pine section is worked using intarsia crochet. Always carry yarn on WS of work and enclose Yarn E inside Yarn D sts when not in use. Due to its mixed st composition, Shawl must be blocked very firmly to ensure edges are straight.
Change colour on last yoh of previous st before colour change.
