A moebius is a complete circle with a twist knit into it. One does not knit from top to bottom or side to side but from the center out, a totally different knitting experience. This moebius is designed to be long enough to loop around your neck two or even three times.

Gauge is given at 14 stitches over 4 inches, after blocking, but gauge is not important for this project. The pattern uses less then a full skein. I used just over half the skein, if your gauge is different, you may use more or less, but one skein will be more then enough yarn to finish the project.

If you have not previously knit a moebius, watching the moebius cast on tutorial by Cat Borhdi is mandatory. The moebuis cast on is one which I find difficult to describe, but when one sees the cast on demonstrated, it is simple to learn.

Alternative yarns: any lace yarn would work in this pattern. I find Malabrigo Silkpaca has a softness and sheen that makes this scarf more like a piece of jewelry, it is an adornment.
