This idea has been brewing in my head for years and I’m so excited finally to have executed it. Elegant and sophisticated, but a little racy with open sides. I’m hugely inspired by the early 20th C fashion designer Erté, much of whose work involved using simple rectangles cleverly placed to create interesting shapes. For this blouse, I’ve shaped the top simply by making the bottom edges turn a corner, the lace itself has no shaping. A very easy knit for dramatic effect!
Finished sizes are given by waist measurments. Blouse is fitted without negative ease - if you are half way between sizes, work the smaller one.
