After knitting a simple roll-brim baby hat using this yarn I decided I wanted a similar hat in my size.

The hat is worked from the top down so I could try it on rather than having to guess at the length.

I also wanted something a little over sized, but not actually slouchy, for a change of pace. It’s baggy on me, but a traditional fit on my husband.

Suggestions for modifying the hat are included at the end of the pattern.

The start can be fiddly, since it’s only a few sts, so you might want to use 2 circs to get started.
