Here is a great way to use up leftover sock yarn, and make an adorable gift for the new mom! My great niece was just born at Christmas, and her mom wanted a princess crown for newborn photos. The original one was crocheted; but I was immediately asked by knitting friends for a version they could make. The long colorways in sock yarn make for an interesting design with no effort. It is also very cute in a solid color with the addition of beads or sequins on the outer surface. Even beginning knitters can make this design with join as you go knitting.
