A fun hat with closed cables that mimic the look of the Infinity Stone from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Combine that
with a little holiday knitting, and you have Infinite Cheer:)

The cable brim of the hat is worked flat & lengthwise, then joined end to end as a headband. Stitches for the body and crown of the hat are picked up from the upper selvedge edge, and then worked in stockinette stitch to the crown. Directions are for 2 adult sizes and include instructions for either shaping the hat like a classic beanie or as a fun, wintry stockingcap style.

A video tutorial takes you through how to work the closed cable stitches as well as a technique for picking up stitches along the selvedge edge.
