Inside Passage Shawl is knit lengthwise into a rectangular lace wrap featuring pretty undulating waves of lace.

Knitting on the ferry that travels between the mainland of British Columbia and Vancouver Island is one of my favourite places to knit.

The ferry crosses the waters of the Inside Passage, which is really a network of passages that weave through the many small islands off the pacific west coast. I like to sit by a window with my knitting and watch the beautiful view and if extra lucky, a whale or two. My design was inspired by this journey.

The lace is easy but interesting, quick to memorize and finished at both ends with a picot bind off.

The pattern includes your choice of a chart or written instructions for the lace.
