When designing this top, I wanted to incorporate two things: a punta edging at the bottom, and vertical intarsia. Leslie Gonzalez discussed this type of edging in the Winter 2018/19 issue in the Learn Something New article. I love learning something new. Intarsia was the topic of the Stitch Anatomy article, which I wrote, in the same issue. I tend to avoid intarsia designs with vertical color joins as it is difficult to manage the tension, but I wanted to practice this technique.

The top is wider at the bottom with gradual decreases at the color joins to the bust. The front and back are the same.
