I have a 2-year-old puppy that loves to steal my kitchen towels and chew them up. However, he doesn’t bother the ones attached to the oven. He’ll steal towels from the counters and towels hanging over the oven door.

This is my new take on a towel topper… the towels are buttoned on and the whole thing is attached to the oven door handle, fridge handle, or cabinet/drawer handle. It takes less time (and fewer buttons than the traditional topper, yet it’s more secure than towel rings.

As the towels button on directly to the towel topper, a sewing machine capable of making buttonholes is advised.

Materials:
Any hook size, F-I
Small bit of medium-weight cotton yarn
1 1/8” button
