My inspiration for this project came fromm my love for the environment and my desire to combine complementary stitch pattens in the perfect snuggly cowl. The cabled pattern of the first ring mimics the twisting of tree branches while the open lacework on the second ring brings to mind soft falling leaves. Worked in luxurious and unusually colored alpaca, the finished object is both unique and cozy.

Skills required: provisional cast on, ability to cable, read charts and work basic lace as well as work in the round.

Finished Measurements: Trunk ring - 20” circumference and 4” width; Leaves ring - 23” circumference and 4.5” width
