During intermission of the Red Curtain Revue presented by Central Washington University’s Theatre Department this fall, I surreptitiously took notes on a scarf worn by a young woman a few seats from me. Here, the stitch pattern is interpreted as a cowl. Two 150g skeins of super bulky yarn can yield two variations of the cowl.

Note on yarn substitutions: I was able to knit two coordinating (but not identical) cowls from one skein each of Rasta and Caracol. Estimated yardage is 62 yards for CC1, and 42 yards for CC2. This includes a 10% buffer, but know that differences in gauge will affect not only the size, but the amount of yarn used, and this is especially true for super bulky yarn.
