The second in the series of Container Ship patterns is named for the vessel in a photograph by artist Andrea Frank from her exhibition and subsequent book Ports and Ships. The goal of this piece was to capture the curve of the ship’s prow entering the water, but I wanted to manipulate the yarn as little as possible to achieve this—in the case, the yarn tells most of the story.
