This hat was created to fill a niche in my winter wardrobe. Out of all of the hand knit hats I own, very few of them seem quite up to the challenge of a Minnesota winter, while being stylish at the same time. So what did this hat really need? A wide, snug brim to protect my ears. Super soft Merino wool that I could pull down over my forehead without getting itchy. And best of all, rich & bright color to help lift the gloom of January mornings. The brim is features a row of cables that help with the fit, and the top is closed with a open spiral decrease.

Errata: Decrease row 5 should read: K3, yo, k3tog around
