♫ The Music ♫
“Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral
Too-ra-loo-ra-li
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral
Hush now, don’t you cry…”

Let the lilt of this Irish lullaby bring calm and peace to your day.

The joy of Celtic cables is celebrated in this baby / lap blanket.

An interlaced Celtic heart surrounded by a narrow Moss stitch border forms the centrepiece of this blanket. A slipped-stitch border is added around this centrepiece, followed by the narrower cable band. A second slipped-stitch border is then worked, followed by a wider cable band. The final, wider slipped-stitch border leads into an I-Cord Bind Off for a beautiful finish outer edge.

The Celtic heart centrepiece (11 x 11” / 28 x 28cm) is knit flat on a circular needle beginning with a provisional cast on. Stitches are then picked up around the edges of this block and the blanket is worked outward, in the round.

Both charts and written directions for charts are included. Charts are contained in the main pattern document; the written directions for charts are in the separate PDF.

Needles
4mm / US6 circular needles 32” / 80cm and 60” / 152cm long or size required to obtain gauge.

Charts
Chart A is knit flat; charts B through F are knit in the round and represent one-quarter of a full round -- therefore, work each row four times to reach the end of round.

Techniques
There is a video of the 2/2 RCinc here.
