This design combines two of my favorite things—hearts and ornate iron scrollwork. As I am a knitter, not a smith, I have used my needles to forge yarn into a sweater.

Interesting knitting begins right away with a two-color corrugated ribbing. Following a stockinette stitch body with a little waist shaping, the Norwegian-inspired hearts are wrought to life at the circular yoke with stranded colorwork.

Features:

  • Worked from the bottom up in the round
  • Seamless construction
  • Circular yoke
  • Waist shaping
  • Semi-fitted design with 2” of positive ease
