Islay is a versatile cardigan suited to all ages and wardrobes! The pattern has been graded from baby to adult sizes. The name comes from an island on the west coast of Scotland.

The first 5 are children’s sizes ranging from approximately 6 months to 10 years. The larger 9 sizes are adult sizes. It is recommended that you know the chest circumference of the recipient when determining what size to make.

Construction
This cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom up. Fronts and back are then divided at the underarm and worked separately. After the shoulders have been joined stitches are then picked up around the armhole and short rows are worked to shape the sleeve cap. The cardigan is finished with an I-cord bind off worked around the fronts and neckline.
