Getting buried by your sock yarn stash? Found a couple of balls of a great handpaint? Want to make socks to fit, or looking for an easy pattern that has just the right amount of interest? This could be the pattern for you!

Itean is a toe-up sock with flap heel and a simple lace detail, which works equally well in a solid or variegated yarn. The main directions are worked on 4 dpns with a 5th used to turn the heel. Magic Loop and 2-Circular directions in brackets. The lace stitch pattern is both written out and charted (large chart).

Three ‘sizes’ (stitch counts) offered - 56, 60, and 64 stitches around, with directions for fitting length exactly, so a variety of yarn weights and needle sizes can be accommodated (the pattern needle and yarn weight are for reference only), as well as a range of foot sizes!

The Plum version is made in a recycled heathered yarn, and the Sherbet ankle-length version in Fleece Artist Somoko (“Blush”, 1 skein). They have also been made with Shibui Sock (2 skeins) and Wool Socks for Summer (1 skein - from http://bethbrown.etsy.com).
