I.V. Fingerless Mitts
Designed for patients receiving intravenous injections, these I.V. fingerless mitts will go anywhere, particularly when you dress them up with fantastic buttons. Knitted flat, these mitts include a simple cable, yarnover buttonholes and a seed stitch button band.
One size fits most, but you can easily add or remove an inch of width by adding or removing a k2p2 rib in the back.
Full chart is provided for both right and left-hand mitts with detailed written instructions on knitting up the thumb.
Finished measurements approx. 7 3/4” x 6 3/4” (19.5 cm x 17 cm) after blocking, with 3/4” (25 mm) overlap at the button band.
Mitts are finished with 12 - 5/8” to 1/2” sized buttons.
It takes just one skein or ball of most of the yarns listed above to complete this pattern--and it knits up quickly, too!
