This leaf pattern, along with all of its variations, is one of my favorite lace patterns. Although it requires some concentration to work, the effort is always worth it. Add just a sprinkling of beads, and it looks like an ivy vine with dewy leaves.
The length can easily be varied by adding or removing 15-stitch repeats of the Leaf Pattern. And the short-rows bring the two yarn overs that divide each repeat up from the border. Some decreases worked on the last couple of rows add a little extra shaping to the top edge.
