The main body of the jacket is worked in rice stitch. The cuffs, foot of body and collar are done in honeycomb stitch (also known as honeycomb cable stitch), and edged in 1X1 rib stitch.

The button and buttonhole band are knit separately in 1X1 rib and sewn on when finishing. There are instructions for both boys and girls.
