This fashionable jacket has a flair all its own. It is quick and easy to make. Instructions are given for small size (10-12) with changes in parentheses for medium (14-16) and large (18-20).

Reynolds Pontresina Yarn was used to make model. To make this design 9 (11, 12) balls suggested yarn, one pair number 10.5 straight knitting needles, a number 10.5 circular needle 29-inch length, size 0 steel crochet hook, size K aluminum crochet hook, 1.25 yards 1.5-inch grosgrain ribbon and 4 buttons will be needed.

Blocking Measurements:

  • Bust, buttoned: 37 (40, 43) inches
  • Width of Back at Underarm: 18 (19.5, 21) inches
  • Width of Each Front at Underarm: 10.5 (11.25, 12) inches
  • Width of Sleeves at Underarm: 14 (15, 16) inches
  • Length from Back of Neck: 21 (22.5, 24) inches

Gauge:

4 sts equal 1 inch, 5 rows equal 1 inch

Notes:

  • Body of cardigan is worked in one piece to the underarms, then divided for working the fronts and back separately. The sleeves are worked separately and sewn in.
  • After seaming, front edges are faced with grosgrain ribbon and buttonholes are worked by machine.
