This is the must-have accessory for your summer dress!

Gauge: 1 square measures 10 cm (4”) using 2,25 mm (US B) hook.

Jackie is a hobo bag made up of granny squares. I used a fingering weight cotton yarn (ca.150g/5.25oz) for the lacy squares, striped cotton fabric for the outer lining that ‘peeks’ through the squares, and a printed floral fabric as the inner lining, completed with pockets for phone and keys.

For the shoulder strap and the tabs of this bag, I used faux suede for a polished and refined look. To finish off, I used faux suede braids and add a metal button from my button stash on top of the closure tab. I can imagine that other fabrics such as blue jeans, or a fabric that matches one of the linings, can be pretty nice here instead of faux suede.

Make this bag with whatever trims and materials that you can find around the house, and you will end up with a original handbag that no one else has!

Detailed instructions for making this bag, including crocheting and all sewing, are given in the pattern.
