FINISHED SIZE Small (medium, large). The long brim rectangle measures 4¼ (4½, 4¾)” wide and 12¼ (13¼, 14¼)” long. The cap back is 4½ (5, 5¼)” wide and 4¼ (4½, 5)” high.
YARN Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool; 220 yd 201 m/3½ oz 100 g): #884 skyline blue (MC), #910A winter white (CC1), #883 Puget Sound (CC2); 1 skein each.
NEEDLES Small cap—size 3 (3.25 mm); medium cap—size 4 (3.5 mm); large cap—size 5 (3.75 mm): straight and 2 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Size D/3 (3.25 mm) crochet hook; markers (m); tapestry needle.
GAUGE Small cap—28 sts and 30 rows = 4” on size 3 (3.25 mm) needles in pattern st; medium cap—26 sts and 28 rows = 4” on size 4 (3.5 mm) needles in pattern st; large cap—24 sts and 26 rows = 4” on size 5 (3.75 mm) needles in pattern st.
