This cardigan was inspired by primatologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall. Born in 1934, Goodall is well known for her study of chimpanzees in the Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania. Goodall’s research focused on chimpanzee culture and family life; one of her most important discoveries was that chimpanzees use tools. While these tools don’t include knitting needles—as far as we know— Goodall might like this versatile sweater to accompany her on her travels. Jane Goodall makes a great layering piece for fall and winter. On warmer days, it can be worn with a long sleeved shirt underneath, or it can be worn as a jacket over a fine knit sweater for extra warmth.
