My knitting pals call me “The Tweaker” because I have never met a pattern that I didn’t think needed a little help or an additional caveat or two, especially when I need a project that I can stuff into my purse and run. Here is my basic toe-up sock pattern that incorporates my tweaks, notes and adjustments to create an easy to wear slip-stitch heel sock that fits and showcases hand-painted yarns that require no fancy stitch work to be beautiful.

This pattern uses the two circular needles technique to knit in the round. Toe-up construction allows the knitter to try on the sock throughout the process.
