Cranes are believed to live for a thousand years and inhabit the land of the immortals. They symbolize longevity and good fortune. Paper cranes have come to symbolize peace and it is thought if a person folds 1000 paper cranes, a wish will be granted. I just think cranes are beautiful and graceful, especially if spied while in flight. Two sizes for this cowl, Tighter and Looser. Knit in worsted weight yarn.

NOTE: In photos, the yarns are Malabrigo Rios in Magenta (CC) and Cascade 220 Superwash Merino in White (MC). Some folks don’t want to combine 2 different yarns so suggestions for colors in same brands are provided below.
