These socks are knitted using the skills and the technique that I learned at school when I was 9 years old, so they could be called very basic Finnish-style socks (just a bit modified during the years…)

Choose a yarn that you love for these everyday socks. I prefer a yarn with some nylon to make the socks tough and resistant. Handdyed yarns make the loveliest socks and are a dream to knit. The pattern is very simple so following the change of colours in the handdyed yarn will make your knitting more interesting and keep your focus in finishing the socks.

Work the two socks simultaneously using two sets of double pointed needles. Take one strand of yarn from the outside of your ball, the other one from the inside. Using this trick helps me to finish both the socks at the same time.

If you have never knitted socks before, you could try these. They are easy to start - and easy to finish.

Let me know how you liked knitting the socks. And please let me know if you find mistakes in the pattern.

Enjoy your knitting!
